Who is this for?

This scholarship is for students who hold full British Citizenship but are classified as international fee payers because of where they live. It is not means-tested and not competitive 鈥� meet the criteria and you will receive it.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if all of the following apply:

• You are a new student applying to start in September 2026, January 2027 or May 2027
• You hold a UK passport confirming your nationality as 鈥淏ritish Citizen鈥�
• You have unrestricted right to live, work and remain in the United Kingdom
• You are classified as an international fee payer
• You are enrolling on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree at our Bolton campus

Full British Citizenship is required. The scholarship does not apply to other forms of British nationality, including British Overseas Territories Citizen (BOTC), British National (Overseas) (BN(O)), British Overseas Citizen (BOC), British Protected Person (BPP) or British Subject status.

What will I pay?

The scholarship reduces your tuition fees to the same rate paid by home students, and is renewed automatically each year for the duration of your studies, provided you remain enrolled and retain international fee status.

Undergraduate degrees

• Standard international fee: 拢17,500 per year
• Fee after scholarship (home student rate): 拢9,535 per year
• Annual saving: 拢7,965

For a typical three-year undergraduate degree, this is a total saving of 拢23,895.

Postgraduate taught degrees

• Standard international fee: 拢17,500 per year
• Fee after scholarship (typical home student rate): 拢8,496 per year
• Annual saving: up to 拢9,004

Postgraduate fees vary by programme. Your offer letter will confirm the exact fee and saving that applies to your course.

What is not included?

The following are not eligible for this scholarship:

• PhD and doctoral programmes
• Undergraduate Medicine
• Part-time study
• Distance learning and online-only programmes
• Courses delivered through off-campus partners or transnational education (TNE) partnerships
• Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate and MRes programmes
• Students who defer their offer 鈥� deferral will result in loss of eligibility
• Current or continuing studentsy

This scholarship is only available to students who apply directly to the University of Greater Manchester. Applications made through an agent, overseas recruitment representative or any third-party recruitment partner are not eligible.

Students whose tuition fees are being met, in whole or in part, by a government sponsor, employer or any other external funding body are not eligible for this scholarship.

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other 私人午夜福利 Manchester scholarship or fee discount.

How does it work?

No application is needed. Once you hold an offer and our admissions team has confirmed your eligibility, the reduced fee will be reflected in your offer letter automatically.

Please note: receiving this scholarship does not guarantee your place at the University. You must still meet all academic entry requirements and any visa conditions that apply to your offer.
